The FFV1 video codec in practice

We started using sporadically in production the FFV1 video codec from the beginning of 2004 on for Y′C_BC_R 4:2:2 video at 8-bit per channel, in parallel with the HuffYUV video codec.

What and how

A four-handed presentation by Michal Cohen and Reto Kromer, followed by an informal Q&A session and light refreshments. The participants should be familiar with the FFV1 video codec.

When and where

On Thursday 17 December 2026.

As usual, the admission to our Reports from the Field is free, but a registration is required, as the seats are limited to a dozen or so, in order to enable in-depth technical discussions and the exchange of information.
